How to Play the Demon Armor Warlock Build

The playstyle of the Demon Armor Warlock is similar to a standard Falchion-style Warlock setup, with the added benefit of zone control through Summon Hydra and a potent combo with Hydra + Life Drain.

Combat Strategy

Open with Curse of Pain if you're in range to apply pressure.

Summon Hydra to block your opponent's path or exit.

Push your opponent by crouch jumping over your Hydra with Flame Walker active, or by Phantomizing through them.

If retreating, cast Flame Walker and pull back.

Play as a frontline sustain tank for your teammates.

Sustain Combo

Cast Summon Hydra near you.

Cast Life Drain on your Hydra.

This combo allows you to regain a lot of your missing Health for free. Master this loop of fighting, finding time between rooms to cast the Hydra + Life Drain combo, and you're set.

Utility

Hellfire is excellent for chasing or escaping through closed doors. To use it safely:

Get close to the door.

Cast Hellfire while looking at the top of the door frame.

This method ensures you can safely run through the door right after without harming yourself.

PvE Strategy

For PvE, the typical method of using melee to kill monsters is fine. However, the recommended way to clear monsters is:

Gather the entire room of monsters.

Cast Summon Hydra on top of yourself.

Cast Flame Walker and activate Phantomize.

Run back and forth between all the monsters until they're dead.

Running between monsters constantly re-applies Flame Walker to each of them. In Phantomize, you can't be hit physically, often causing monsters to hit each other, speeding up the clear.

Multiclassing Options
